What is Cleaner Production?
Cleaner production is a new & innovative way of improving production and reducing pollution. Cleaner Production improves the production efficiently as well as the product quality and at the same time Cleaner Production reduces the cost of resources, materials, waste disposal and waste water treatment and improve environmental performance. The integrated preventive environmental strategy applied to processes, products and services to increase efficiency and reduce risks to humans and the environment.

Cost to Implement Cleaner Production Measures
To implement CP measures, investments are no cost to quick returns. Simple measures like good house keeping and better process control often require little or no additional investment. However, measures like equipment modification and technology change will incur costs, depending upon the type of CP option selected. The interesting point to note is that most CP measures have a very short pay-back period, quite often just a few months.
